Amir Santiago
FOUNDER/PARTNER AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
The man with the vision in providing cigar aficionado's with their own personalized cigars. Amir was born in Puerto Rico but was sent to the city Puerta Plata in the Dominican Republic to learn his family's trade in rum making which was founded in 1888. During one of his summer vacations in Puerta Plata, he was also introduced to the cigar scene. He learned the process in making cigars and the agriculture of producing the best tobacco for cigars. Amir's background was in Public Relations and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Electrical Engineering at Hato Rey Polytechnic University. Amir worked in PR in the music industry in the Dominican Republic but later on worked for major pharmaceutical and bioscience companies where he met his business partner, Jufry H. Douglas in 2013. They both then teamed up and began their business ventures together in having the first custom made hand rolled cigar company.
Jufry H. Douglas
CO-FOUNDER/PARTNER AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
Jufry was born in Singapore but moved to California in 1996 and grew up in the city of Thousand Oaks. After high school, he served in the military until late 2010. He served as an Emergency Response Specialist responding to natural disasters internationally as well as domestic. Jufry rapidly grew in his ranks in the military and obtained the role in Public Relations as a liaison officer to the media for the director of the ministry of defense. When he returned to his home town, he decided to buckle down and hit the books and went for his degree in International Business and Homeland Security Emergency Management. He met Amir while working in security management at a bioscience company in 2013. Their friendship grew and together, they decided to pursue their dreams in the world of business.
Michael South
GENERAL MANAGER
California Born and raised, graduated from Edison High school in 1982. Earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 2005 in computer science and completed his Master degree in Information Technology Management in 2007. He has been everything from a Hotel Audio Visual Manager, camp counselor, Ski Patroller to providing IT Support for our nations War Fighters at Edwards Air Force Base. He is currently a Technical Analyst at a Pharmaceutical Organization. The same Pharmaceutical Organization that Amir and Jufry are currently employed with. His entry into Muneca cigar started with a simple question: “Do you like smoking a good cigar?”. He has taken on the role of General Manager as well as a number of hats that will be needed to fulfill the needs for a great cigar company.
